Optimal Mining Solutions Pty Ltd is a niche, innovative mine planning and advisory consultancy based in Brisbane, Australia. We help our clients maximize the value of their assets through our comprehensive and innovative approach to mine planning.


Founded in 2004 by Tony and Katrina O’Connell, Optimal Mining Solutions specialize in all aspects of the mining cycle from initial resource evaluations through to detailed feasibility studies and independent reviews. Our team has worked on projects in more than 25 countries across a vast array of commodities including gold, iron ore, coal, copper, cobalt, tin, lithium, tungsten and vanadium.


We intentionally maintain a small but vastly experienced workforce to ensure our clients receive the same word-class service every time. We utilize the latest mine planning technology to ensure our clients receive the highest quality services delivered on-time and within budget.
